Hi! Welcome to my little corner of the internet (I've always wanted to say that). I'm Leo, I'm 21, and I live in Brazil.
I'm Leo, short for Leonardo. I was born in 2002 and got unsupervised access to the internet around 2008. That combined with the technological delay between the global north and south (I had a CRT monitor!) meant I caught the tail end of that messy, pre-social media internet that a lot of the web revival movement aims to recreate. Though I was also on Orkut and deviantART, I loved personal web pages. This is a gift to my young self: my very own 2002 party.
It's that time of the year when you talk about how fast the year's gone by. I've been handling uni way better compared to the start of the semester, so I hope it's a good one. Right now I'm working on an infographic for my Information Design class, which isn't my favourite thing in the world, but it's a lot easier when you have a bunch of references and a general outline in mind.
I'm obsessed with F1 fan sites from the late 90s and early 2000s. The Best of F1 was a web directory of sorts. There I found the exceptional F1 Rejects page which chronicles exactly what it says on the tin. And I'm going through the F1 commentary archive from 2001. Great race for Ferrari. Except for Barrichello, of course.
Excited to launch my new site, 2002.party. The theme I'm using has a handy microblogging page built into it, so I'll use this to talk about my life. Like Twitter, but without the bad owner. I've had a handful of blogs before, so let's see if I remember to keep this specific session up to date.
